Best Fantasy Football Players in Week 9

QB Kurt Warner, Arizona Cardinals
Kurt Warner has turned back the clock this season and is reminding NFL experts why he has a pair of Super Bowl rings. He’s also reminding fantasy football owners why he used to be considered the best fantasy quarterback in the all the land. This week, against the St. Louis Rams, you have to think Warner will have even more motivation to torture the team he had his most success with.

RB Brian Westbrook, Philadelphia Eagles
When healthy, is there a better fantasy football player to own than Brian Westbrook? He’s such a multidimensional force the he’s a threat on just about every play. This week he has a good matchup and should be good for 100+ yards and a touchdown — at the very least.

WR Brandon Marshall, Denver Broncos
Brandon Marshall has cooled off as of late but this week against the Miami Dolphins he should rev it back up. Marshall has the perfect frame for a wide receiver and Jay Cutler loves throwing it to him. A touchdown and 100+ yards is very much a possibility.

TE Owen Daniels, Houston Texans
Owen Daniels continues to work himself up the tight end charts and this week he finds himself on the top. Against the Minnesota Vikings, you can expect the Texans to pass, pass and pass some more. With Andre Johnson getting a lot of the attention, Daniels should be able to roam free.

Week 9 Injury Report - Fantasy Football

QB Jay Cutler, Denver Broncos
On the first play of their game two weeks ago, Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler injured his thumb. Although it originally looked serious, he seems to be 100% for Week 9 after the team’s bye week.

QB Carson Palmer and Matt Hasselbeck, Cincinnati Bengals and Seattle Seahawks
Both of these quarterbacks will be out at least another week.

RB Steven Jackson, St. Louis Rams
Just like last week, Steven Jackson is day to day. Last weekend, he didn’t play for the Rams. In Week 9, fantasy football owners should also be ready to set their lineups without him.

RB Joseph Addai and Dominic Rhodes, Indianapolis Colts
In recent weeks Dominic Rhodes has been carrying the load as Joseph Addai battled a hamstring injury. In Week 9, the roles look like they are going to switch with Addai starting and Rhodes injured.

RB Willie Parker, Pittsburgh Steelers
Willie Parker will try to play in Week 9 but that isn’t a sure thing at this point. Even if he can play, it would be best to keep him out of your fantasy football lineup until he is healthy and getting touches.

RB Larry Johnson and Jamaal Charles, Kansas City Chiefs
Larry Johnson is still battling his legal and personal problems and won’t play in Week 9. Jamaal Charles has an ankle injury that will keep him out. That means Kolby Smith will start.

TE Jason Witten, Dallas Cowboys
Jason Witten suffered a broken rib in last week’s game. While he was optimistic early on about being able to play, that is looking like a long shot.
