In just over two months, the Lake High School community will be able to come together on Friday nights and continue the healing process from the devastating tornado which struck the area earlier this month. Thanks to quick work from its insurance company, Lake’s football playing surface will be completely redone with FieldTurf. The stadium seating, light poles and all the service utilities will also be repaired with insurance money. If everything falls into place as planned, the Flyers will host Northwood on Sept. 3, the second football game of the season and the home opener for Lake.

It is an account of the life of Daniel “Rudy” Ruettiger who harbored dreams of playing football at the University of Notre Dame despite significant obstacles. It was the first movie the Notre Dame administration allowed shot on campus since “Knute Rockne: All American” in 1940.
