I heard that Willie Miller had a wee problem with R.S.I .,due to all the trophies he lifted for the Don’s in that era…

In those years the british teams were doped up to their ears. Any crappy team would win in Europe. Aston Villa, Nottingham, Liverpool, Aberdeen, anyone. If Ferguson was behind you can tell they were cheating.

… and what’s Aberdeen status in the new millennium ? Waterschei had is fusion with Winterslag in 1988 and formed KRC Genk. Within 20 years, they were 2 times Belgian champion, 2 times vice champion, they won 3 times Belgian Cup and played terrific champions league in a poule with Real Madrid, AEK Athens and AS Rome…

I still remember the look of excitement(spl) on a friend of mine’s face when he came to his 1st big football game with me to the Waterschei match. We were at the top of the beachend and were moved back and fore 5-10 rows everytime the Dons scored.
He couldn’t believe how he managed to travel 30ft forward and back with his feet not touching the ground.
    FANTASTIC MEMORY.

I recall watching The Dons beating Real Madrid…it was in a tavern just outside Toronto and for once the Rangers and Celtic fans were a united front, supporting Fergie and his team of Champions.
