I run around with a 1981 diesel truck that scores pretty good on emissions even by new car standards. Particulates included. It cranks out 62mpg on the freeway. 40mpg when I am hauling. Guess what? It ain’t European. It’s a Toyota.

From 1995-2004 an electric car was sold here in the US. Didn’t do to well for a variety of reasons (the company selling them being one) so they were pulled. That company was GM. The car was the EV-1. EV not standing for European Vehicle.

@Buzze1985 But of course! Nothing said “eco-friendly” and “clean air” quite like the glory days of the Eastern Bloc now did it? Please keep in mind that your continent has started the overwhelming bulk of the world’s wars. I’m sure they’ve had little to no effect on the environment whatsoever. I lived in Europe for eight years, I’ve seen the soot that Budapest and Prague still lay under. All that crap found it’s way to western Europe too. So enough with the “We love the planet” shit.
