Portis got hurt a few years ago and Betts came in and had a better season. Lets face it, Portis built up a nice average in Denver (Where an average wal-mart employee can go for 1000 yards) His good years with the Redskins happened when the OL was very good. Portis got hurt a few years ago and Betts came in and had a much better season. At this point in his career, he is not a starting RB.
Oh sure, he had those nice, long TD throws early in the first quarter when Washington’s secondary took a nap. Other than those two throws, though, Orton didn’t do a thing.
Don’t blame Simms for not being able to move the offense–it was his first real action since, what, 2006? 2007? He clearly wasn’t ready to run the offense and was only put it in because the Broncos had no choice.
good job redskins, finally u shut these people up thats been talking down on u guys on “INSIDE NFL”, you put them in there place, im a 49ers fan, but congratz to you guys
Christ you cannot type. Campbell has been good all season. He has 8 picks. Three of them were dropps by receivers. One was on a hail-mary at the end of a half and two were tipped by the DL. He has also had at least 5 TDs dropped. If he does not have so many bad things happen (Outside of his control) he would have a top 10 QB rating.
Not bad considering the OL might be the worst in the NFL. Also, Portis cannot break ANY tackles and has no vision, therefore no running game.
Man! this was the best game of the season thus far and I missed it as I was on my way to PA. The the Skins really played like the Skins we all know and love!!!
Hail to the Redskins. We should keep Portis and Campbell on the sideline more often!!
People need to get off of Orton’s jock. If it wasn’t for miscommunication in the secondary, those two deep touchdowns wouldn’t have happened. Orakpo stepped up as a play maker and Betts’ running game beat Denver with good ol’ Redskins style football. Now I’m looking forward to seeing Dallas fold like the Mets next week.
Dont get upset just because the broncos lost. Give washington credit, they are an inconsistent football team for sure but they played hard and won out on sunday. Jim Zorn and the Redskins deserved the win!
Huh! Duh!!!! The redskins beat them broncos at every angle. You can put Manning in there if you want, but when the number called correctly…it is what is is!

He probably would of made another touchdown or two and/or some more field goals to win the game but definetly a lot better then what Simms did.

Did you even read my comment?
Yes, he had two great TD passes because the Washington secondary screwed up.
His first four throws included those TD passes, a completion for no gain, and a 9-yard completion. So he started 4/4 for 124 yards and 2 TDs.
What’d he do after that? He went 7/14 for 69 yards and 0 TDs.
He had a great start, but then got shut down. Even if he’d played in the second half, I honestly don’t think he would’ve been effective.

Dude Orton kicked ass as much as any other QB would. And Simms shouldn’t of been hired in the first place by us.

Not really. It’s because Simms didn’t do shit to throw the ball.
