Porto 2-0 Chelsea: the spoilers of Mount and Chilwell

Chelsea beat Porto 2-0 in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final to give the Blues an advantage ahead of next week’s second leg.

The first goals of the competition from Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell were enough to triumph over their Portuguese opponents that night at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán stadium in Seville.

Both legs of the meeting are to be played at La Liga’s home Sevilla due to ongoing restrictions linked to the coronavirus pandemic, with this first leg being considered an away game for Chelsea.

So, a 2-0 victory margin for Thomas Tuchel’s team and an 8th clean sheet in nine games.
