Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar has been suspended for two matches after receiving a red card against Lille last Saturday.
The Brazil international will not be able to appear at PSG when he faces Strasbourg this weekend and Saint-Etienne on April 18, the Professional Football League (LFP) has announced.
Neymar was sent off in PSG’s 1-0 home defeat following an altercation with Lille defender Tiago Djalo, also sacked.
Neymar and Djalo were banned from three matches, but one of those matches was suspended.
PSG’s defeat against Lille means Mauricio Pochettino’s men are now three points behind Christophe Galtier’s team in the Ligue 1 standings.
Meanwhile, Neymar has been impressive for PSG in their 3-2 Champions League quarter-final first leg win over Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.
