Haaland urged to seal Liverpool move

Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland was invited to sign for Liverpool by Bjarne Berntsen, who coached the 20-year-old on his debut for the Norwegian ranks.

Speaking to BBC Radio 5, the former boss of Viking FK said the attacker’s camp did ‘very good choices‘so far in his career, but wants to see Haaland show up at Liverpool.

If I had to decide I would go for Liverpool because it’s my club – but I don’t decide,Berntsen said of Haaland.

I have no idea what they are going to do, Erling and his team have made some very good choices and have shown great knowledge in choosing which club is best for him in the past.

Haaland has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool, but the Reds are not alone, other Premier League sides Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United all credited with interest in the Norwegian star – according to the Mirror.

The 20-year-old’s next move is a guess, and staying at Dortmund – where he’s scored 51 goals in 49 appearances – is a very real possibility.

No doubt Liverpool fans won’t be embarrassed by Haaland’s first coach recommending the sign before them, but as the man himself has said in the quotes above, it has no bearing on that.
