Arsenal should be ready to reignite their interest in Crystal Palace striker Wilfried Zaha this summer.
Gunner’s pursuit of the Ivory Coast international in 2019 is well documented, but their reported bid of £ 40m was well below the Crystal Palace’s asking price of £ 80m, and Zaha stayed at Selhurst Park regardless of his alleged desire for Departure.
Arsenal led by Unai Emery eventually switched to Nicolas Pepe instead, but the £ 72m winger has not lived up to expectations in England since his arrival from Lille, and Mikel Arteta is presumably interested in striking a deal for his compatriot.
As 90Min pointed out, Arsenal are hoping to try to keep Zaha out of Selhurst this summer, but they will need to sell before they can buy, and Crystal Palace is ready to sell the striker to raise money.
The report adds that the 28-year-old wants to stay in the English capital, despite the clubs’ interest in the first division and Italian league, but neither Chelsea nor Tottenham Hotspur are planning a move to Zaha this time.
Zaha’s current contract with Al Nisour expires in 2023, and he has scored 9 goals and made 2 of 22 Premier League matches this season.
