Udinese led for more than 70 minutes of play and will feel stolen after the departure of Juventus with the three points.
The game started out as a physical battle, but only 10 minutes into the clash, Juventus found themselves behind. Weston McKennie gave the weak free kick to the edge of the box, and before we could organize the early effort was played into the box and Nahuel Molina takes a touch before shooting hard and low to beat the keeper of goal.
The rest of the half was for Juve, however, but no matter how many chances we won we just couldn’t hit our targets with Weston McKennie’s effort being the hardest to swallow.
We struggled to get out in the second half and looked like we were a little more behind. Okaka broke free in the box before the officials scored an offside, before Arslan managed to score from inside the box six minutes later.
Our team struggled to cause real problems for our rivals in the second half, but with less than 10 minutes left on the clock, CR7 stepped in to take a free kick just outside the box.
Rodrigo de Paul raises his arm to block the effort and we are rightly awarded the penalty. Ronaldo puts his shot deep into the bottom corner, and all of a sudden victory was in sight.
We came to live with the opportunity that was presented to us, and with a few minutes remaining out of the 90, we made two. Adrien Rabiot threw an incredible ball into the box with his deep left foot, and Ronaldo was exactly where he needed to be to get home.
I almost can’t believe we saved this result to the death, in a game where we didn’t really deserve the three points, and in a season where we deserved more than we got on so many occasions, there can be little complaint in all fairness.
