Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, along with his agent Mino Raiola, are due to hold showdown talks with the club this week to discuss a possible contract extension. According to the latest reports, if the Frenchman fails to sign on the dotted line, the Red Devils are looking at three possible replacements.
Pogba, 28, has no contract with Old Trafford next summer, and if he fails to agree, a new deal is likely to be unloaded in the coming months.
The French World Cup is rumored to want a whopping £ 400,000 a week if it wants to extend its stay at Old Trafford.
If the club fails to negotiate a new deal and then fails to sell it, the Frenchman will have the right to pre-contract with a club outside England from January 2022 – something the Red Devil hierarchy is likely to guard against.
According to a recent Mirror report, in an attempt to plan all possible outcomes of contract negotiations this week, the club has identified three players who can come in and fill Pogba’s boots.
The list of substitutes is said to be Declan Rice from West Ham, Wilfred Ndidi from Leicester City and Saul Nigues from Atletico Madrid.
