PSV midfielder Mario Gotse admitted that although he loves life in the Netherlands, it would be difficult to turn the chance to play with Lionel Messi in Barcelona.
The 28-year-old Gotse joined PSV last summer after a free transfer from German Borussia Dortmund.
Although he endured a difficult career, largely to health problems, Gotze will always be remembered for his winning goal for the 2014 World Cup.
Now he seems to be returning to some of his best form for PSV, Gotse, who has already contributed 12 goals in his first 24 games, finally seems happy with life at Philips Stadium.
Speaking live and exclusively about 11 Freunde station (quoted by Sky Sports Germany), Gotze revealed that the only two ways he is likely to leave PSV would be if manager Roger Schmidt leaves or if Barcelona comes to knock.
“If Roger wanted to leave, I’d be worried.” said the 28-year-old. “We have agreed with PSV that we will take an extraordinary offer.”
Continuing to praise the football talent on display in Barcelona, Gotse said: “Celebrating football with this team, together with Lionel Messi, would be a dream.”
