Former Aston Villa midfielder Lee Hendry has said so Football FanCast in an exclusive interview that he can understand why people like Brendan Rodgers and Julian Nagelsman have no interest in joining Tottenham.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy began looking for a new manager after the dismissal of Jose Mourinho, and the search reportedly led him to Rodgers and Nagelsman.
However, the former has indicated that he wants to stay in Leicester City, while the latter has agreed to join Bayern Munich this summer.
Do you trust Levy to handle the next meeting properly?
Undoubtedly a disappointing development for Levy, but Hendry can fully understand why managers choose to catch the spurs in the club’s quest in north London to replace Mourinho.
Speaking exclusively of FFC on the issue, the retired football player from the Premier League said:
“Like Brendan Rodgers and Nagelsman, why the hell would you want to leave a football club for someone who doesn’t play football in the Champions League?” This is the big question.
“Why should I do it? [Tottenham] attracting someone, unless you have the fact that we keep Harry Kane, we will build, we will attract more players, better players and we will be a better football club. “
There may still be life in this saga, as MailOnline reports that Levy and Tottenham have not yet given up on luring Rodgers away from King Power.
