Real Madrid have reportedly intensified their interest in signing Manchester City star and England winger Raheem Sterling in the summer transfer window.
The report of Football insider claim the La Liga giants are looking to take advantage of the growing uncertainty surrounding the 26-year-old’s future at the Etihad. Sterling has found himself as a rotating player more than he was last term, leading to doubts about a long stay in Manchester.
Transfermarkt values the striker at £ 90million, but Football insider estimates that a royalty closer to £ 75m could attempt City in a sale.
Real want to step up their attacking options this summer, with Eden Hazard having a nightmare following his € 100million transfer from Chelsea in 2019.
Sterling the current contract is to last until 2023. However, talks on a new agreement have so far been at an impasse.
The former Liverpool man has scored 113 goals in his six years with City. But the warning signs for his future are ahead, with the forward missing a starting spot in the club’s last four outings in the Champions League.
If Guardiola feels that Sterling’s level has dropped, the player could be mercilessly moved.

Inter-star kicks City, Chelsea
Meanwhile, Romelu Lukaku has hampered Chelsea’s hope of signing him again this summer by saying he is happy to stay with Inter Milan.
The 27-year-old was part of the Inter squad which beat Crotone 2-0 on Saturday. The result, coupled with Atalanta’s 1-1 draw at Sassuolo on Sunday, saw them clinch the Serie A title. It was the first time the Nerazzurri have claimed the Scudetto since the 2009-2010 campaign, with Lukaku playing a major role.
The Belgium international has scored 21 top Italian goals and 27 in all competitions. And this follows the search for the net 34 times in 2019-2020.
The Antwerp-born ace started his career in Anderlecht before moving to Stamford Bridge in August 2011 as a teenager. But he never got the chance to show his true colors in West London, making just 15 appearances.
The powerful forward spent the 2012-13 campaign on loan with West Brom and scored 17 times in 35 league appearances. The following season he was loaned to Everton before signing permanent terms at Goodison Park in July 2014.
The man with 91 Belgian caps has proven himself in Merseyside, scoring 87 goals in all competitions. That turned out to be enough for Manchester United to come call and he signed a five-year contract with Old Trafford in the summer of 2017.
however, Lukaku failed to reach the same heights at the Theater of Dreams. He has scored 28 Premier League goals in 66 appearances, but his form has declined significantly in 2018-19.

Inter reap Lukaku’s rewards
Inter opted to take a punt and certainly reaped the benefits as they have found the net 61 times in 92 appearances across all competitions.
And after helping the San Siro giants end Juventus’ dominance, Lukaku celebrated with fans in his car.
“I am so happy for all the Inter fans around the world, for the team, the staff, the president and everyone,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “It’s been a wonderful year for us, I’m really proud to play for Inter.
“I wanted to come here and celebrate with the people. I told my friend that was the best way to experience it, to be there with the fans.
