Thomas Tuchel has opened up about his experience coaching Chelsea and his former club Paris Saint Germain PSG.
Tuchel noted in his statement that there is a huge difference between coaching the two clubs, as he noted that the English club is more demanding.
Keep in mind that Tuchel took over from Frank Lampard in January, and so far he has been spectacular at Stamford Bridge keeping the Blues among the top four on the log table and helping them be one of the candidates for the UCL this season.
“Going from Ligue 1 to the Premier League? That’s pretty honest. Very brutal, “Tuchel told L’Equipe ahead of the Blues’ match against Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday.
He noted that in France played the same number of matches, two cups, and there are also 20 teams in the championship. But the intensity and challenge of the championship is really very different in England. “It’s a whole other level,” Tuchel said.
He stressed that it is quite ruthless as there is simply no time to breathe. There is not too much time to sit down, be relaxed or comfortable.
He added that the players are also ready for the task that makes it easy to move on.
