Over 3,000 Liverpool fans say their opinion of Minamino’s future with a resounding response

Thousands of Liverpool fans have weighed in on an interesting debate over the future of Japanese international Takumi Minamino.

A tweet sent by our friends at LFC Transfer Room included a poll that asked Twitter users whether the Reds should keep or sell forward.

At the time of writing, the vote has just under 3,000 participants, and the message is clear: With 67% of the vote, fans think it’s time to move on to Minamino.

We in Empire of the Kop are somewhat shocked by the result, as we wanted to help give Minamino more time to prove himself at Anfield.

The decision to sanction a loan deal to Southampton in January could have been taken with Xherdan Shaqiri in mind.

With both Taki and the Swiss flyer on the team, it’s hard to see where they would both get semi-regular football.

Fortunately, the Saints do not have the opportunity to make Minamino’s move permanent this summer, as Jurgen Klopp insisted, and he will return to Liverpool in preparation for the Premier League season 2021/22 – but it is anyone’s guessing what will happen from there.
