If there are reports in France that Manchester United have to give fitness after it was suggested that striker Anthony Martial return to training after a prolonged injury.
After breaking his knee ligaments earlier this year, Martial has been forced to miss his country’s last eight games in all competitions.
Despite initial fears that the Frenchman may be absent for the rest of the season, according to L’Equipe, the 25-year-old is already back.
Manchester United will play a semi-final in the Europa League in a second match against Roma on Thursday, and after beating the Italians 6-2 last week, all signs point to the final on May 26 in Gdansk, Poland.
However, if Thursday night’s match turns out to be too soon for Martial, his team still has five Premier League games, including an oral tie against Liverpool’s opponent.
L’Equipe’s report will also offer French fans a boost in time ahead of the European Championship in the summer, which is set to begin in June.
