BVB say there is a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ for Jadon Sancho to travel with Liverpool eager to make him ‘superstar of the year’

There’s a big story in Bild today that claims Liverpool and Chelsea could go head to head for Jadon Sancho, as Borussia Dortmund chief executive Michael Zorc says is available for transfer this summer …

“We already had a gentlemen’s agreement with Jadon last year that he can change under certain conditions. He has been with us for a few years. However, this agreement does not exist with Erling [Haaland], ”Says Zorc.

In the article, Bild says a Covid rebate will be applied to Sancho’s price, bringing the required transfer fee down to £ 72m.

Both Liverpool and Chelsea believe that they have the necessary set-ups to make Sancho the ‘superstar of the decade’, writes Jorg Weiler – and we can reveal on EOTK that Jurgen Klopp has been eager for the Englishman since he was in Manchester City.

Sancho has not had the same kind of season as he did in 2019/20, but his talent and potential is World War II – and a fresh start in his home country may be the thing needed to help him kick.

However, we would worry about our chances if we were up against Chelsea financially – especially given our recent accounts and the fact that we are likely to miss Champions League football next season at their expense.
