Speaking exclusively of Football FanCast, former Premier League midfielder Carlton Palmer has warned Tottenham fans not to expect Daniel Levy to leave despite all the consequences of the collapsed European Super League.
The Tottenham chairman is currently facing strong opposition from supporters, mainly because of the club’s involvement in the aforementioned, with many now calling on him and ENIC to pack.
This comes after Football Insider reports that owner Joe Lewis wants to sell the Premier League equipment. And after all the reaction the current regime has received after the ESL farce, some Spurs fans may be starting to think it could be all about Levi and Lewis.
Do you trust Levy to handle the next meeting properly?
However, Palmer is not very sure. Asked by FFC whether the ESL crash could eventually force Levy out of the club, the former Sheffield Wednesday player said:
“Ok To Levi never were popular in Tottenham, does he have? He’s never been popular, so I don’t think that changes his thinking [regarding staying at the club]. “
Next on Levy’s agenda is finding a new permanent spurs manager after the dismissal of Jose Mourinho.
However, the new manager will not be Julian Nagelsman, who will leave RB Leipzig for Bayern Munich in the summer.
