Thomas Tuchel names the ‘dream star’ that he wants to build the Chelsea team around

Thomas Tuchel believes that Chelsea’s chances of winning silverware this season develop exclusively around N’Golo Kante’s exhibitions, where the Blues manager receives great praise for the French midfielder.

Kante has proved to be a wise signing for the blues since arriving from Leicester in a deal worth £ 32m. £ from Leicester in 2016. He helped Chelsea to the Premier League title in his first season since adding the FA Cup and Europa League. In fact, he could even add two trophies to this move this season. Chelsea are in the FA Cup final and will bid to send Real Madrid to reach the Champions League final on Wednesday.

Although several leaders have come and gone during Kante’s time at Stamford Bridge, he remains constant. Having played 213 appearances for the club, he is a player much appreciated by all who play with and against him.

Kante has started 19 of Tuchel’s 23 responsible matches. A hamstring injury saw him miss the other games, including a 5-2 home hammering to West Brom.

Now Tuchel has described Edge as a “dream player” and insists he is the man he wants to build his side around.

“He’s the guy you need to win trophies. That’s why I’m so glad he’s here [at Chelsea], ” Tuchel said.

“I have dreamed of this player, fighting for this player in every club I trained in, and now he is my player.

“For me, he is an example, an incredible input for any team in the world. He wants to be the key.

“N’Golo is a nice guy, almost a shy person. He is quiet, he likes his own quality time and he is not tall.

“I see him smile very, very shy and polite, but I am so happy that players like him exist. It’s a pleasure to watch.

“What he does with his mentality, a real helper. He always gives everything to help someone on the field and such a nice, humble and quiet guy. ”

Champions League goal for Kante

In addition to four trophies at club level, Kante also helped France to the 2018 World Cup.

The Champions League, however, is a trophy that eludes him so far, and he bursts a gut to make sure they reach it. Manchester City are waiting for either them or Real in Istanbul after defeating PSG 4-1 overall.

With a draw that was finely balanced to 1-1, Tuchel admits he’s happy to have Kante available at Stamford Bridge. He will probably also earn a big hug from his boss if they manage it.

“He has won many trophies except the Champions League. I am sure he will do everything to get this trophy, “the 47-year-old added.

“I see him interacting with everyone, but on his own terms. Still, he has to accept that I want to cuddle him, I do it a lot! ”
