Tuchel says Werner acts like a dog

Chelsea return to action in the Premier League on Saturday as they made a brief trip to the Etihad Stadium where they faced league leaders Man City.

The game ended in a victory for the blues as it ended in a 2-1 result line.

Raheem Sterling gave City the lead in the first half, while Sergio Aguero lost an opportunity to make it 2-0 from spot-kick within half an hour.

The second half, however, was different as the Blues came in stronger. Thomas Tuchels led Chelsea team equalized through Hakim Ziyech and added another goal after Werner delivered a winning goal as his low cross was fired in by Marcos Alonso.

Asked whether the German international needs to add patience to his game, Tuchel told Sky Sports, “Yes, but it’s easier said than done because he worked like a dog.”

He noted that Werner has worked hard and has also adapted to the Blues football style.

Remember he scored a goal against Real Madrid in the Uefa Champions League semi-final.

Chelsea’s recent win over Man City in the Premier League serves as a morale booster that they can repeat the same feat against Man City when they meet in the Champions League final in Istanbul, Turkey later this month.
