Former football stars pay tribute to Mason Mount

Former football stars Rio Ferdinard and Cesc Fabregas have taken time to applaud Chelsea player Mason Mount following their recent win over Man City.

Keep in mind that the Blues struggled with Pep Guardiola’s led Man City team in Porto on Saturday night.

Chelsea scored the lone goal before the break thanks to an attempt by Kai Havertz, who got a fantastic pass from Mount.

Ferdinand said on BT Sport: “The way Mason Mount turns on this ball turns the game around and just sees it.

It’s a good run from Havertz, the ball from Mason Mount is definitely on the money, but it’s lazy to defend from Zinchenko. ”

Former Blues playmaker Fabregas tweeted: “What a ball !! Mason Mount, that’s what I’m talking about! ”

Chelsea have now been able to secure their second Champions League trophy after lifting it in 2012.

Aside from Mount, another Blues player that many football fans have applauded is N’Golo Kante, who again won the match man in the final.

Chelsea were at least expected to go far in the UCL this season, but they have won the trophy and are the current European champions, meaning they would be a club to look forward to next season.
