Dortmund striker and Norwegian international Erlin Harland handed the transfer boost to Chelsea, the Champions League champions, before the summer transfer window.
Recall that Haaland was related to the Bundesliga transfer this summer. Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and other teams are lining up to sign him.
However, according to the “Daily Telegraph” report, the 20-year-old forward revealed that he was “interested in moving to Chelsea and was attracted by the prospect of joining Thomas Tuchel’s team”.
The report added that the Blues are fully aware of the difficulty of signing Haaland in the transfer window this summer and are considering an agreement to allow the young man to postpone his exit from Dortmund until next year.
Although Dortmund has valued the Norwegian star at more than 150 million pounds, the Blues hope to lower the price by keeping him in Germany until next season. According to reports, due to the release clause in his contract, he will spend 68.9 million next summer. Sold at the price of pound sterling.
Last season, Harland scored 10 goals for Dortmund and became UCL’s top scorer.
The German club stressed that the Norwegians will not be allowed to leave this summer.
