Oscar enjoyed a successful 5 year stint with Chelsea. 5 years that saw him win two Premier League titles, one Football league Cup and one UEFA Europa League title.
It is now four years since the Brazilian attacker left Stamford Bridge for a shock move to China with Shanghai SIPG. However, the Blues still hold a special place in his heart.
The playmaker spoke of his ambition to finish his career back in London, in an interview with TalkSPORT:
“I think about finishing at Chelsea because I had good times there. The club helped me a lot to improve and to do what I always dreamed, which was to play in the Champions League and they helped me to play in the World Cup and to win the Premier League.
I have a lot of friends at Chelsea. If I have a chance to finish my career at Chelsea, it’s a dream for me. Of course, Chelsea don’t like to buy too many older players. It is normal because it’s a top team from Europe. But I will try my best to be fit to finish there.”
One of Oscar’s proudest moments in the Blues shirt came in his first Champions League appearance against Juventus. He scored a brace, the second of which was one for the ages as he wrong-footed legends Bonucci and Pirlo before curling in an exquisite top-corner effort past none other than Gianluigi Buffon.
“It was amazing when I scored my first two goals against Juventus in my first game in the Champions League,” he said.
Speaking of the best three players he played with at the club, Oscar said:
“It’s difficult to pick three, there were a lot of good players. I think I’ll take Terry, Lampard and after maybe Hazard, because I really like the way he plays. These three were amazing with me when we played together.”
Oscar scored 38 goals in 203 caps for Chelsea in all competitions and still hopes that he can finish his career here.
