Navaso defeated Costa Rica in a friendly win for Mexico

Herving Lozano’s last header gave Mexico a friendly win over Costa Rica on Tuesday 1-0.

Costa Rica’s goal lived a magical life throughout the match in Austria, although Keylor Navas and his teammates did enough to keep Mexico in trouble.

Indeed, Mexico’s luck seemed to be distant when Lozano and Orbelene Pineda hit the crossbar in the 73rd minute, and Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Navas pulled off superbly on the goal line to deny Hector Moreno.

But luck ultimately favored Gerardo Martino’s side – who made 18 attempts but scored only three times – as Lozano shot Luis Romo in the 89th minute before a terrible waste from Alan Cruz at the other end decided the match.
