West Ham doubled their advantage over Wolves thanks to Pablo Fornals, with Jesse Lingard heavily involved once again.
The Hammers, who are without Declan Rice tonight after the midfielder injured his knee while on international duty, quickly cleared the blocks at Molineux.
Jesse Lingard was the man who broke the deadlock, carrying the ball from inside his half to Wolves’ penalty area before beating Rui Patricio. A stunning solo on loan from Manchester United.
David Moyes’ men have now doubled their advantage, with the return of Pablo Fornals finding the bottom corner, Lingard having achieved excellent skill to keep the ball in play just before Arthur Masuaku provided the assist.
Lingard’s tekkers to keep the ball out of play are comparable to Dimitar Berbatov’s “ Berba Spin ” against West Ham over a decade ago. He obviously watched the Bulgarian icon’s flagship film.
The finish of Fornals?
West Ham is already in the lead against the Wolves!

Tonight a stubborn Wolves side without Rice was a real test of West Ham’s Champions League credentials. In less than a quarter of an hour, all questions were answered.
