Jürgen Klopp suggested in his pre-match pushing plan that some changes could be made to the squad due to the club’s impending meeting with Aston Villa.
The Reds came after their 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals, as they need to beat Villan to maintain their hopes of qualifying for the tournament.
Klopp on team news: “We came back on Wednesday, we trained yesterday. Nobody was injured, but we will see what we do with the information they give us (the medical staff) today. If we have to change something, we will see it.”

With another meeting with Zinedine Zidane’s men less than a week away, it’s very likely that some adjustments will be made to the first team to ensure some of our main stars get a rest for a pivotal tie.
However, we wouldn’t be too surprised if Klopp only makes some adjustments, given the threat posed by Aston Villa, not to mention the fact that our hopes of qualifying to Europe via the Premier League are at stake.
It would be foolish to put all our chips into the second leg with such a deficit going up – especially without the fans at Anfield to support us – so expect maybe two or three changes at most to tie us.
