Liverpool is one of several European clubs planning to start a new “Super League”, which could replace the Champions League.
In a statement on the Reds website last night, the English Premier League champions confirmed their role in the proposed separatist tournament, along with the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus.
Journalist Chris Williams moved from the German Bundesliga to Twitter this morning to reveal his connection to UEFA and that they are overwhelmed by plans, wanting to strip participating clubs of the Champions League and European League titles.
