Thomas Tuchel made history for Chelsea the night his side sent a disappointing Atletico Madrid from two goals to nil, registering a total 3-0 whiteout against the Spanish league leaders and advancing to the final eight of the Champions League.
With the victory, the German manager now holds the record for the longest undefeated managerial start in club history – 13 games.

He also went ten unbeaten games in the Premier League, only alongside Maurizio Sarri’s 12 games in the 2018/19 season and Frank Clark’s 11 unbeaten games to start Nottingham Forest’s 1994/95 season. (premierleague.com)
He’s third in the league’s unbeaten start list. With West Brom, Crystal Palace and Brighton in the lead, it looks like Tuchel will break Sarri’s record.

Chelsea are heading towards the quarter-finals on morale, for the first time in seven years since the 2013/14 season, having taken over Diego Simeone’s men.
