“I never doubt myself,” says rookie Sadio Mane, despite the tough running

Almost lost in the hustle and bustle of Monday night and the UEFA Europa League story, but it was great to see Sadio Mane once again on the scoreboard against Leeds.

He’s not enjoying his best season – in fact – it was his toughest season at Anfield. But his class is real and lasting and we are sure he will soon return to the world class levels we are all used to.

“It’s a really tough time for me, we have to realize it, but it’s part of football and I already know it so I’m dealing with it and trying to work as hard as possible to help the team more. It’s my first time but honestly, I never doubt.” [myself]. I’m just trying to be more positive than I have ever been, and that’s it, “he told the official website.

The draw against Leeds was a missed opportunity, but it was fair in the end based on the 90 minutes.

Chelsea’s draw with Brighton means we are still looking for the top four, but we can’t afford more mistakes.

On Monday it looked likely not going to matter about qualifying for the Champions League, due to our obvious involvement in ESL, but before the weekend clash with Team Magpies, it sure was.

We are grateful for this risk, otherwise – what’s the point?

And don’t bet on Mane finding the net against Ton either.
