The legend of the spurs makes Nagelsmann pay

Former Tottenham Hotspur captain Graham Roberts said so Football FanCast that Daniel Levy has decided to fire Jose Mourinho in order to try to appoint Julian Nagelsman as manager, although any move may now be in doubt after Bild announced on Monday that the agreement between RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich is close.

The head of RB Leipzig has been admiring Levy for some time, as the FFC announced after the dismissal of Mauricio Pochettino that he was in fact the first choice of the president.

These connections have re-emerged in recent weeks, and The Daily Telegraph reports that the 33-year-old is again Levy’s first choice.

Is Nagelsman your No. 1 choice to replace Mourinho?

Absolutely!

No way!

No way!

However, there is a wrinkle in every chase, given that Hansi Flick will leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season, he will probably become the manager of the German national team.

Thus, Bayern will look for a replacement, and Nagelsman has been announced as a potential successor to Flick at the Allianz Arena.

As such, Roberts believes Levy pulled Mourinho’s trigger on Monday to give the Spurs a “chance” to appoint the young boss.

Leipzig is currently second in the Bundesliga, seven points behind leader Bayern.

Speaking exclusively of FFC, he said: “I currently have two or three names. I think all this was done for me personally, because the Bayern Munich manager is leaving at the end of the season.

“Bayern Munich have said that Nagelsmann is their number one goal. We’ve always been in touch, we wanted Nagelsman and I think the club thought, if Jose wins the cup, will he keep the job for next season?

“So Nagelsmann goes to Bayern Munich. Nagelsman may already be Bayern Munich’s manager, he may have already agreed, but I think they’ve given themselves a chance, Tottenham, to go and get him. “
