Juventus chairman Andrea Agnelli congratulated Inter on their Serie A victory, but promised that his club would do everything in their power to win Scudetto back.
After nine consecutive league titles, Juventus’ long reign was officially ended on Sunday, when Inter ended the 2020-21 championship.
Atalanta’s inability to beat Sassuolo – that game ended 1-1 – meant Antonio Conte’s Inter were at home and dry with four games left.
Juventus, meanwhile, face a match just to secure a top-four finish and Champions League football next season.
Despite their entire defense of Andrea Pirlo, the first-time head coach has not made the impression that Juventus would have wanted this season.
They followed up last season of Scudetto by winning the Supercoppa with a win over Napoli in January, but it has been a largely disappointing campaign for the Torino giants.
“For ten years in a row we have won a trophy … not bad, but the best will always be next!” Agnelli wrote on Twitter.
In an apparent message to Inter chairman Steven Zhang, Agnelli added: “Well done Steven! Happy for you and proud to be your loyal opponent on the field and friend off the field. We’ll be back … ”
Well done to @Inter_en on winning the Serie A title 2020/21.

Agnelli was one of the main protagonists behind the recently failed Super League project, where Inter and Milan were also lined up to join the now seemingly abolished competition.
Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici mixed praise for the triumphant Inter with reflection on what Bianconeri have achieved in recent seasons.
Paratici told Sky Sport Italia: “I congratulate the club and Conte. We know that there is passion and sacrifice behind every success.
“We know how much we have done to win and be top of the class for 2,382 days. We have achieved a historic feat, unique in Italian football and probably also in world football. Congratulations to Inter for a well-deserved Scudetto. ”
