Man United vs Liverpool will be postponed after Sunday’s game was postponed at Old Trafford, but there are a number of issues to be discussed in order to do so.
The Reds will visit Old Trafford on another day, after the decision to postpone their Premier League game due to protests inside and outside the stadium.
Liverpool have issued a statement confirming that they “will continue to engage in dialogue with Manchester United, the Premier League and local authorities to find a suitable date to reschedule him” and it remains to be seen when that takes place.
There will be discussions on a host of factors, with Stan Collymore – who has worked closely throughout the protest and subsequent events – explaining which ones are under consideration.

The first, whether Liverpool would stay at their hotel in Manchester for another night, has apparently been resolved, with Collymore himself. affirming Jurgen Klopp and his team have left for Merseyside.
That actually rules out a postponed kickoff for Monday night, as planned, as it would force the Reds to disrupt their usual game-preparation routine.
- Man United vs Liverpool postponed after protests at Old Trafford
- Ongoing discussions regarding the new kick-off date and time; unlikely to be Monday
- Liverpool are believed to have left Manchester; United still at the Lowry Hotel
- Police strategy, alternative location, PL and European calendars considered
United are staying at the Lowry Hotel at the time of writing, but that suggests they’ll be heading home when it’s safe to do so.
The postponed date will take into account the perspective of the fan groups, as well as the strategy of maintaining order in the match when it finally takes place.
Collymore even added that there is the possibility of using another venue to prevent further protests from taking place in Manchester.
As for the kick-off date and time, there are obvious difficulties when it comes to the fixture list for both sides just three weeks into the Premier League campaign.
Liverpool only have five games to play until the end of the season, but with United still competing in the Europa League – and facing Roma in their semi-final second leg on Thursday night – they have less leeway maneuver with regard to Rendezvous.
