Ryan Mason has suggested that Gareth Bale is a “world class” player.
Bale scored a hat-trick on Sunday as Tottenham Hotspur edged Sheffield United 4-0 in the Premier League.
Mason, who has now achieved two out of two wins in the league, hailed Bale as a world-class player after the game.
Spurs rose to fifth in the league with the victory after protests at Old Trafford prevented the Manchester United v Liverpool clash.
However, the focus returns to Bale who had a fantastic hat-trick. He opened the scoring in the first half with a nice dink on Aaron Ramsdale.
He added two more in the second half, Serge Aurier providing the assist for his third goal. Son Heung-Min scored the fourth goal of the game to earn all three points for the home side.
Bale has now scored nine Premier League goals and brought his total to 14 in 30 outings in all competitions. He also became the first Welshman after Craig Bellamy to score 50 Premier League goals.
The acting boss was full of praise for Bale after the game. He said BBC Sports:
“When you hit a hat-trick and in crucial moments you make the headlines. He is world class, we know that.
“Anyone who has watched football in the past 10 years knows what it can do. Its finish was exceptional. It’s a conversation for the end of the season [on if he’ll stay]. The priority and main focus is now Leeds. “
Mason also praised Dele Alli and Serge Aurier after the match.
Bale appears to be enjoying his football after Jose Mourinho leaves. But can Spurs sign him again this summer? He is expected to return to Real Madrid, but if a second loan is on the table, Daniel Levy should consider the possibility of signing him again.
