David Luiz may have played his last game as an Arsenal player as he limped out of action at St James Park against Newcastle United after suffering some form of hamstring injury.
With only four games left of what has been a dismal national campaign for the North Londoners, it looks like the center-back has played his last game for the club after boss Mikel Arteta lamented Luiz’s luck. on the forehead injuries.
The Arsenal manager was asked if the incident marked the end of the Brazilian’s season, to which he replied: “We don’t know. He felt something in his hamstrings, so that’s not good news.
“He’s put in such a change to be back with the team the last few weeks after the knee surgery and it’s a shame.”
The Gunners have done well to send Newcastle comfortably, goals from Mohamed El Neny and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were enough to give Arteta’s side their eighth away win of the season – doubling last’s total countryside.
