Man Utd, Chelsea ready to pawn players in La Liga match

Manchester United and Chelsea will go head-to-head for a La Liga star transfer, while Watford are in talks to sign a former Red Devil – both in all the recent Euro Paper Talk.

MAN UTD, CHELSEA EYE OBLAK

Manchester United and Chelsea are ready for action to sign Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak, according to a report.

Oblak has cemented his status as one of the world’s best goalkeepers in recent seasons. After moving to the Spanish capital in 2014, he closes in on 300 club appearances with 158 clean sheets to start.

But while he has two years left on his contract this summer, he recently opened the door to a switch to the Premier League.

When asked if he could move to the English top flight, he said: “I do not know. I do not know what the future will bring, but I’m sure in any league I would play, I could play well. You never know what will happen in the future.

“Now I have been in Spain for seven years. Let’s see. I’m still young. Not so young anymore, but I still have some years ahead of me.

“The most important thing for me is the hope that I will not be injured. Let’s see what the future will bring. ”

According to Downloads, Chelsea and United are ready to spray the cash to sign Oblak this summer. The report claims that both clubs are ready to put a minimum of € 80million (£ 70million) on the table as a first bid.

While Slovenia’s international has a release clause of £ 102 million, £ 70 million could be a good starting point in negotiations for a potentially cheaper deal.

What’s more, both clubs can include current players to fund the deal further. Blues goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has faced an uncertain future for some time and he remains Thomas Tuchel’s second choice.

Meanwhile, fellow Spaniard David de Gea has lost his place as United’s No. 1 to Dean Henderson and Downloads adds that he could be used as a similar weight.
