Joan Laporta was delighted to Barcelona’s comeback victory over Valencia Sunday, and the club president is convinced his team can win LaLiga Santander.
The result means the Catalans still have a good chance of winning the title with four games remaining.
“I said before the game against Valencia that if we win the remaining five matches, we are confident that we will win the championship,” he said upon arrival at Manises airport in Valencia.
“Well, now there aren’t five, now there are four [games] we have left to win the title.
“I believe in us,” he added.
The Catalan lawyer also praised the efforts of the whole team for the 3-2 victory at Mestalla.
“Not just Leo [Messi], they all played a very good game, ”he said.
Laporta has accompanied the team on all its travels since he was elected president for the second time and, after the defeat of Grenade Last Thursday he even went to the locker room and to practice to give the players a boost.
