According to the latest reports, the German giant Bayern Munich is in the first position to sign Carney Chukvuemeka from Aston Villa.
The 17-year-old Chukwuemeka is part of Willians’ youth squad, and although manager Dean Smith has previously highlighted the young man’s clear path to first-team football, the midfielder looks set to continue into the summer.
Football Insider reports that along with Liverpool and Manchester City, Bayern Munich also has a strong interest in the English midfielder.
Compared to compatriot Jude Bellingham, who moved from Birmingham to Borussia Dortmund last summer, Chukwuemeka can also see his long-term lie in Germany’s best flight.
Although he is yet to make his first-team debut, Chukwuemeka is highly regarded by Aston Villa CEO Christian Purslow, who previously described him as “perhaps the best 16-year-old in England”.
Chukvuemeka has scored nine goals and assisted 11 more in 44 appearances in all competitions for Aston Villa’s youth teams.
