Chelsea in pole position for € 70m man, opening with transfer discussion

Jules Kounde has responded to transfer speculation after Chelsea became a strong contender to sign the center-back over the weekend.
Last month, according to Nervion hill, Chelsea entered the battle for Kounde. The Sevilla center-back was seen as one of Manchester United’s main defensive targets. Eric Bailly has since signed a new contract and it has been suggested that United prioritize their attacking options this summer.
During the weekend The reason also claimed that Chelsea loved Kounde.
The Blues are looking for a long-term successor to Thiago Silva. The Brazilian is out of contract at the end of the season, but has impressed and can benefit from a one-year extension.
In fact The reason say Thomas Tuchel’s men are “very interested” in signing the central defender.
Kounde has a € 90million release clause and his club LaLiga know that no suitor will meet that price in the next market.
Sevilla are however ready to allow the Frenchman’s summer sales if there is an offer of around € 70million.
Kounde was asked about his future over the weekend.
“It’s hard, I have a lot of ambition and well… I have to measure what is best for me, there are still a few months left and we will see what will happen.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s hopes of signing AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma have been hit by the news that Juventus are now in the picture.
Donnarumma is close to completing his sixth season for the Rossoneri at the age of just 22. He has already made 257 participations in all competitions and has been selected 25 times by Italy. The youngster seems certain to rewrite the record books and is one of the hottest properties in European football.
He will be break contract at the end of the season and Milan recently gave him an ultimatum. The Italian giants want to be notified of its future plans by May 23, with renowned suitors waiting to pounce.
With no transfer fees to pay, the Blues would have offered him a huge deal to move to Stamford Bridge. But Manchester United have also been mentioned about the youngster.
A move to the Premier League might appeal, but Juve might be ready to throw a wrench in the works. According to a report by Transfer market, the youngster is now about to be targeted by the old lady.
