Twitter thread shows how Glazers have ruined Manchester United

Some Manchester United fans have been condemned by sections of the media for their protests at Old Trafford on Sunday, but a shiny thread has been written showing why there is great outrage towards the Glazer family.

The supporters are outraged by the minute and it doesn’t look like it will die out as they are determined to see a change in ownership.

The majority of fans want to see the club open for sale to fans so that they own the majority of the club’s shares, in reference to Germany’s 50 + 1 ownership model.

Some supporters want to see the club bought outright by someone else who would actually take care of the club and not saturate it with massive debt.

The financial world of football is completely complicated, so Swiss Ramble wrote a long Twitter thread explaining it all in layman’s terms and The Peoples Person picked out the most damning Tweets from the thread.

The full thread can be seen here:

The finances involved almost show that it is useless for the Glazer family to cling so much to the club when their weaknesses are exposed and their strengths wane in power.

The problem for glaziers is whether they fear they won’t be able to sell at the price they want or if they feel they haven’t finished milking their cash cow.
