Rangers: Arsenal want to sign the Chamber again

Steven Gerrard seems to have struck a big blow in his hopes of keeping Rangers midfielder Glenn Camara at Ibrox this summer, after it was announced that his former club Arsenal was ready to offer him a five-year contract.
According to Football Insider, North London are looking to bring the Finnish international back to the Premier League this summer and have said they are ready to offer him a five-year deal.
The 25-year-old spent his time at Arsenal’s academy as a youngster, but was released in 2017 and later signed for Dundee, from whom Rangers managed to sign him for just £ 50,000 two years ago.
Do you think the Chamber will return to Arsenal?
After playing an integral part of his title success this season, making 28 Premiership appearances and averaging 6.90 WhoScored ratings, the midfielder attracted a lot of interest from the Premier League before the summer transfer window.
The Light Blues have reportedly valued the Chamber at around £ 10 million and want to offer him a new deal to persuade him to extend his stay at Ibrox, although he may turn his back on the prospect of playing in the Premier League.
Neil McCann, the former manager of the Dundee Chamber, spoke highly of the Rangers’ ace earlier in the season in a piece for The Athletic, saying: “He’s not a big, physical guy, but he’s made of iron and really strong. I immediately realized that he could handle the ball under pressure and not give it away, so it was perfect.
“He is a special talent. It makes things look easy, and sometimes the easy thing isn’t as simple as it seems. “
Given that he has been Gerard’s mainstay throughout the season, it would be a huge blow to the 40-year-old if the Chamber leaves before the 2021/22 campaign; and given the salaries Arsenal will be able to offer him, it would not be a surprise to see him leave Ibrox this summer.
