Former Aston Villa midfielder Lee Hendry has said so Football FanCast in an exclusive interview that Tottenham, selling Harry Kane this summer, will destroy the club.
The Spurs striker continues to be linked with a move away from north London, with Manchester City and Manchester United saying they are interested and recently reiterating their desire to win trophies.
While Tottenham are struggling this season, Kane has been brilliant throughout the campaign and will certainly be afraid of losing his mascot – especially after another trophy-free season.
Will Kane stay at Spurs next season?
The 27-year-old has made incredible numbers when it comes to both goals and assists in the Premier League, showing how valuable he is to the team.
It will be almost impossible for Hendry to replace this, so why does he believe that leaving Kane will leave the spurs in rags.
The retired Premier League footballer told the England captain, who will potentially leave Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the upcoming transfer window. FFC:
“Yesor take him outside on there and who are You go to achieve this to filling 25 plus goals a season? You will do well; I’ll tell you now. It can really destroy the spurs and that’s what I feel is holding the cards for a lot of things right now at the football club. “
In fact, it would be interesting to see who Tottenham could come in to replace Kane if he decides to leave this summer, especially as the North London club potentially has no Champions League football to use as a bargaining chip.
