Jadon Sancho’s future grabbed the headlines throughout last summer’s transfer window and the Borussia Dortmund star is set to be the subject of another saga.
Manchester United remain keen to make a deal for the England international after expressing interest a year ago, although the Red Devils are unwilling to live up to Dortmund’s current valuation of around € 100m (85 million pounds sterling).
The fee is a drop from the € 120million demanded by the Bundesliga last summer, a record British transfer fee United did not want to match.
Dortmund recently revealed they have a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ to sanction Sancho’s departure, and lowered their asking price in light of the pandemic, however Eurosport report that the current valuation remains above what Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are willing to pay for the 21-year-old.
United had made signing the winger a priority last summer as the club sought to resolve a positional issue on the right-hand side, although the Red Devils are now set to face competition from their rivals Chelsea. Premier League.
Photo report that West Londoners are also interested in a deal to take Sancho to Stamford Bridge, with Thomas Tuchel planning a raid on his former side for the England star.
Chelsea are set to invest again after winning a host of renowned arrivals last summer, with significant offers for Sancho and Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku, speculated in recent weeks.
Liverpool have also been linked with a possible move to Sancho as Jurgen Klopp looks to revamp his failed forward line, although it remains to be seen if they have the funds.
