Mikel Arteta on Arsenal squad news, Daniel Ek and the Kroenkes

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was asked several questions ahead of the Europa League semi-final second leg against Villarreal.
The Gunners are down 2-1 after the first leg at El Madrigal, but they are quite tied after scoring a late goal outside the penalty spot.
Alexandre Lacazette and Kieran Tierney recently gave a boost by returning to practice, but Arteta has not confirmed whether they are fit to play.
Instead, the Spaniard said the players will be evaluated today. There could be an update tonight confirming if the duo are available for selection.
Meanwhile, when asked about the buyout discussion involving Daniel Ek, Arteta said he would rather ignore the speculation and focus on the winning games.
He told football.london: “We have to try to be away from all the rumors and everything that is going on at the club.”
“The best way to help the club is to win football matches and be competitive again.”
The Gunners boss added that the Kroenkes are in regular contact with him and his staff behind the scenes about the future of the club.
“They have been in contact with us in a really compelling way, as I said last week – there is very good communication,” he added.
The north London club can reach their second Europa League final in three seasons with a slim 1-0 victory over Villarreal at the Emirates Stadium.
However, it might not be straightforward as Unai Emery’s side showed a lot of attacking prowess last week, where they should have scored more goals.
If the Gunners fail to make it to the final, there may be serious doubts that Arteta will continue as head coach for the remainder of the season and beyond.
