Barcelona have officially announced the signing of Sergio Aguero on a free transfer, and the striker is joining after a decade-long treatment period with Manchester City.
Blaugrana reports that Aguero, who will celebrate his 33rd birthday on Wednesday, will join a two-year contract that includes a €100m release clause.
Barcelona will present Aguero’s show later today, from around 6pm local time.
Aguero ended his new adventure less than 48 hours after he broke down in tears after City’s defeat to Chelsea in the Champions League final.
The news earlier today that the Argentinean exorcism was officially announced on Monday proved to be spot on. Aguero has already completed his treatment.

Aguero has started just 8 of the 20 games he has played in all competitions this season, and the forward has seen much less activity for City over the past two seasons as a result of their ongoing injury problems.
The instinctive striker is still able to contribute six goals and assists in these games, with Aguero recently showing he can still cut it at the top level with two goals against Everton on the final day.
While Barcelona needed a No9 like Aguero after their decision to dump Luis Suarez ended in the wrong decision, the Argentine’s addition could be of much greater significance.
Aguero’s recruitment could be a key factor in persuading Lionel Messi to stay at the club, the superstar player’s contract expires this summer and fans are eagerly awaiting developments in a new deal.
