Newcastle watching Kyle Bartley

Newcastle United are believed to be interested in signing West Bromwich Albion defender Kyle Bartley.

The 29-year-old has one year left on his current contract and may be available for a knockout price in the summer.

according to telegraph, Burnley is believed to be looking at an experienced center back, too.

Bartley has performed well with Sam Allardyce in recent weeks and could prove to be a good team choice for Newcastle next season.

The Magpies can definitely use more depth in their defense and Bartley has the experience to make an immediate impact.

It will be interesting to see who ends up contracting the 29-year-old.

Buggy’s side are expected to be relegated from the Premier League this season and Bartley may be looking forward to the search for first-class football.

It remains to be seen if Newcastle can weather the relegation to the championship this season. Much of their transfer will depend on their survival in the Premier League.

The Magpies are currently located two points from the relegation zone, and the trajectory of their recent formation has been extremely concerning.

They have only achieved two wins in 20 games in all competitions and Steve Bruce desperately needs some luck to turn things around. On top of their poor form, magpies deal with major injuries as well.

Callum Wilson, Alan Saint-Maximin and Isaac Hayden are missing for the time being.
