‘Super strong Carlo & dangerous No.10 James’

As Mason Mount helped Chelsea dispatch Liverpool with his solitary goal, the Blues climbed the top four and closed the gap between themselves and third-placed Leicester City.

Liverpool failed to get one ahead of Chelsea, whereas their Merseyside counterparts Everton snatched a 1-0 win over West Bromwich Albion and are now right on Chelsea’s tail, just one point behind in the fifth position.

The Chelsea boss spoke to the media after the Liverpool match. When asked how crucial the encounter is for the top four and what he has made of Everton so far this season, Tuchel said:

“Everton had a very strong start to the season and also got a big win here at Anfield. Very strong squad, very very physical, full of talent, strong strikers and dangerous No.10 with James Rodriguez.”

Adding further, he praised legendary Italian tactician Carlo Ancelotti:

“Super strong manager on the sidelines – Carlo knows how to keep the momentum going, he knows how to keep the flow going.”

Everton have played a game less than Chelsea and see will see this as an opportune moment to get one better and enter the top four themselves.
